Position Overview

 

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to gain new and retain current members through personal engagement and inspirational content shared using multiple communication channels. This position is part of the Gravity Water Management team and will report directly to the Assistant Director.

​

Gravity Water is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated intern to support the growth of our organization and ensure our members feel connected to our mission and work to provide clean water access worldwide.

​

Marketing and Communications Coordinator Role and Responsibilities

​​

  • Digital Communications Management (~3 hrs per week)

    • Creating engaging content and managing media files

    • Communicating professionally through email and social media to support engagement and provide a quick response time

​​

  • Back-end Client Management (~1 hour per week)

    • Maintaining up-to-date internal database accuracy to report progress

​​

  • Donor Engagement and Growth (~1 hour per week)

    • Connecting via email and phone with donors and members to encourage engagement and retention

​​

  • General Tasks (~2 hours per week)

    • Meeting with the management team every Sunday evening and 1:1 weekly with your manager to support collaboration and task management

    • Maintaining timesheet, priority board, and admin tasks to track progress

​​

Estimated Time Commitment: 7 hours per week

​

Marketing and Communications Coordinator Requirements

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Passion for facilitating clean water access for global communities

  • Enrollment in a higher education program

  • Experience and interest in social media management and media communications

  • Outgoing and positive can-do attitude

  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiar with G-Suite (Documents, Spreadsheets, Slide Presentations)

  • Experience in Canva, video editing, content creation

  • Experience and interest in motivating audiences to make decisions

  • Familiar with social media engagement and scheduling tools

  • Experience in charitable fundraising endeavors

  • Interest in pursuing a career in social media management, marketing, or communications
