Youth Initiative Coordinator

Application Deadline: Ongoing
Position: Part-time, Internship

Description
​Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that focuses on providing clean drinking water to communities in developing countries by utilizing a unique, electricity-free approach. Our organization is seeking a highly motivated university student to fill the Gravity Water Youth Initiative (GWYI) Coordinator position. The GWYI Coordinator will assist the Gravity Water Management Team in developing and growing the GWYI program by collaborating with local K-12 schools within their region. Interns will be responsible for providing youth with the guidance to carry out educational fundraising campaigns within their school and community to help fund the construction of a Gravity Water system at a selected "sister school" in Nepal, Vietnam, or Indonesia. 

About the GWYI
The Gravity Water Youth Initiative empowers young leaders worldwide to become active players in resolving the World Water Crisis and fosters inclusivity, global citizenship, and equitable access to education opportunities. 

Responsibilities
Essential job responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to:

• Engaging local schools in the GWYI program, securing active campaigns in elementary, middle and high schools
• Assist schools in planning and implementing educational fundraising campaigns focused on raising awareness about the Global Water Crisis and Gravity Water’s approach to building clean water systems for schools in developing countries
• Work closely with the Director of Youth Engagement to fulfill management protocols, including weekly assessment meetings, strategic project planning, and GWYI campaign logistics

Requirements
Required Qualifications:

• Passion about facilitating clean water access throughout the global community 
• Some experience in project management, coordination, and planning 
• An academic focus in education, environmental studies, global studies, or related field 
• Strong organizational and communication skills 
• Time commitment: 5+ hours per week 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with G-Suite (Google’s apps)
• Youth Education and Mentorship
• Leadership experience, including ASB, Interact Club, or related programs

Youth Initiative Regional Manager

Description
Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that focuses on providing clean drinking water to communities in developing countries through unique electricity-free methods. Our organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Youth Initiative Regional Manager ("Regional Manager") to assist the Gravity Water Management Team in managing the Youth Initiative Program. The Youth Initiative Regional Manager holds an important role in the Organization, serving as the individual responsible for managing the Youth Initiative Coordinators ("Coordinators") with their region.  The position will be part of a supportive and professional team of passionate individuals dedicated to making clean drinking water accessible by the communities who need it most. 

This position focuses on managing and leading a regional group of Gravity Water's Youth Initiative Coordinators, composing five teams of two Coordinators each (10 total). The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring Coordinators are fulfilling their responsibilities and have the support and tools required to do so. The Regional Manager position reports to the organization's Director of Youth Engagement.

Responsibilities
Essential job responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to:

• Hosting weekly meetings amongst coordinator regional groups, teams, and individuals
• Ensuring fulfillment of Coordinator standard operational procedures
• Weekly meetings with the Director of Youth Engagement
• Quarterly progress reports and intern evaluations

Requirements
​Required Qualifications:

• Passion and inspiration for providing clean drinking water to communities in developing countries
• One our more years of team management, leadership, or related experience
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Experience using Google Suite
• Time commitment: ~10 hours per week 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Experience in education and youth leadership
• Experience in team management tools (slack, Monday, etc...)

Virtual Campaigns Manager

Description
​Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that focuses on providing clean drinking water to communities in developing countries by utilizing a unique, electricity-free approach. Our organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the Virtual Campaigns Manager position, assisting the organization in carrying out Gravity Water's quarterly virtual fundraising campaigns. This position holds an important role in the organization by helping create an interactive and fun platform for individuals around the world to help create access to safe drinking water for schools in need. The position will be part of a supportive and professional team of passionate individuals dedicated to making clean drinking water accessible by the communities who need it most. 

This position focuses on assisting the Management Team in virtual campaign development and implementation, including strategic planning, marketing and outreach, business partnerships, and donor management and engagement. The four campaign strategies that the Virtual Campaigns Manager will help coordinate and grow include:

• World Water Day Artisan Auction - connecting small and large artists from around the globe in an online art auction event where 50% of proceeds go to clean water efforts and 50% to the artists.
• Yoga 4 Water Day - collaborating with yoga teachers and yoga studios around the world to host a donation-based yoga class for clean water, where participants can support clean water access through yoga globally on the same day.
• Walk 4 Water Day - a global, inclusive, and free event where individuals walk 6 km to raise awareness about the global water crisis and help raise funds for safe drinking water through a crowdfunding approach.
• End-of-Year Wine Drive - a partnership event where Gravity Water connects with businesses and individuals who can purchase Gravity Water's signature wine through its partnership with Water from Wine, with 100% of proceeds going to clean water efforts.

• Form collaborative partnerships with supporting businesses
• Develop and implement marketing and community engagement strategies
• Assist in donor/participant management for virtual campaign events

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Description
Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that focuses on providing clean drinking water to communities in developing countries through unique electricity-free methods. Our organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator to assist the Gravity Water Management Team in developing its digital marketing and public outreach. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator holds an important role in the Organization, serving as the bridge that connects Gravity Water’s work, projects, engagement, and impact with the rest of the world.  The position will be part of a supportive and professional team of passionate individuals dedicated to making clean drinking water accessible by the communities who need it most. 

This position focuses on content creation, information dissemination, and public relations through various digital, social media, and virtual media platforms. Being a young and fast-growing International Non-Profit, this role provides great opportunities for professional growth,  not only in managing and maintaining Gravity Water’s current digital media platform but creating and developing new media and outreach initiatives to help the organization continue to grow. Gravity Water strongly encourages individuals who are passionate about the importance and benefit of global clean water access and are inspired to use their media and communication skill sets to make a real-world difference to apply for the position.

Responsibilities
Essential job responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to:

• Manage Gravity Water Social Media platforms, including posting, brand alignment, and communications
• Develop monthly newsletters and E-cards for Gravity Water contacts
• Work with the management team to develop online campaigns and fundraising initiatives
• Explore advertisement, promotional, and outreach opportunities through online and physical platforms

Requirements
​Required Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Experience using Google Suite and Social Media platforms  
• 1+ years experience in Social Media brand account management
• Time commitment: 5 hours per week (minimum)

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with G-Suite (google’s apps)
• Experience in Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Suite, Facebook Ads, and related tools
• Experience in strategic partnerships, marketing, and community engagement
• Experience in graphic design and brand development
