Youth Initiative Coordinator

Description
Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that focuses on providing clean drinking water to communities in developing countries by utilizing a unique, electricity-free approach. Our organization is seeking a highly motivated university student to fill the Gravity Water Youth Initiative (GWYI) Coordinator position. The Youth Initiative Coordinator will assist the Gravity Water Management Team in developing and growing the GWYI program by collaborating with local K-12 schools within their region. Interns will be responsible for providing youth with the guidance to carry out educational fundraising campaigns within their school and community to help fund the construction of a Gravity Water system at a selected "sister school" in Vietnam. Interns will gain valuable experience in team management, outreach, social media marketing, fundraising, and data reporting.
About the GWYI
The Gravity Water Youth Initiative Program (GWYI) empowers young leaders worldwide to become active players in resolving the Global Water Crisis and fosters inclusivity, global citizenship, and equitable access to education opportunities. The GWYI focuses on providing students with the tools to become leaders in strategic planning and charitable endeavors.
Responsibilities
Essential job responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to:

Engaging with local schools in the GWYI program, securing active campaigns in elementary, middle, and high schools
Assisting school teams in planning and implementing educational fundraising campaigns focused on raising awareness about the Global Water Crisis and Gravity Water’s approach to building clean water systems for schools in developing countries
Fulfilling management protocols, including weekly assessment meetings, strategic project planning, and GWYI campaign logistics
Attending 2+ weekly check-in meetings with your regional manager and with your school teams to ensure campaigns are on track for success
Supporting organizational outreach and awareness efforts through data collection, email/phone calls, and other administrative tasks which may include participation in key partnership meetings
Creating social media content to promote the GWYI program across multiple platforms
Participating in impact presentations highlighting the results of your successful campaign efforts

Requirements
Required Qualifications:

Passion about facilitating clean water access throughout the global community
Enrollment in a higher education program, including but not limited to a 4-year university degree
Some experience in project management, coordination, and planning
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Time commitment: 5+ hours per week

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with G-Suite (Google’s apps)
Experience in Youth Education and Mentorship
Leadership experience, including ASB, Interact Club, or related programs
Experience in charitable fundraising endeavors

Community Campaign Coordinator

Description
Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that focuses on turning rain into safe drinking water for schools in need around the world. Our organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an intern for the Community Campaign Coordinator (CCC) position. The CCC will be part of a supportive and professional team of passionate individuals dedicated to making clean water accessible for communities in need. Gravity Water strongly encourages individuals who are passionate about the importance and benefit of global clean water access and are inspired to use their leadership and communication skill sets in making a real-world difference to apply for the position.
The CCC will be the director of fundraising and tabling events around each local community. This internship will focus on raising community of the Global Water Crisis through community participation in themed campaigns. To engage the community in Gravity Water’s mission, business sponsorships will be managed by the CCC.
Responsibilities
Essential job responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to:

Coordinating community campaigns in their local community
Engaging groups on campus in community campaigns
Securing business partnerships to raise community community
Attending all chapter-hosted events, meetings, and campaigns

Requirements
Required Qualifications:

Passion and inspiration for providing clean drinking water to communities in need
Must be a student enrolled at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
Displays leadership skills--including experience managing a team and delegating tasks
Well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to engage and inspire people of all ages.
Strong written, organizational, and time management skills
Time commitment: 5+ hours per week

Desired Qualifications:

Event planning or coordination
Leadership experience

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The MCC will be part of a supportive and professional team of passionate individuals dedicated to making clean water accessible for communities in need. Gravity Water strongly encourages individuals who are passionate about the importance and benefit of global clean water access and are inspired to use their creative design and communication skill sets in making a real-world difference to apply for the position.

The internship focuses on content creation, information dissemination, professional communication, and public relations through various digital, social media, and virtual media platforms. The MCC position holds an important role in each Gravity Water Chapter, serving as the bridge that connects Gravity Water’s work, projects, engagement, and impact with the rest of the San Luis Obispo community.

Managing the chapter email account
Promoting chapter campaigns and fundraising initiatives on all social media platforms
Creating marketing materials for events, meetings, and campaigns
