In 2023, Gravity Water and students at La Mesa Junior High School teamed up to spread awareness of the Global Water Crisis and do something about it. The goal of the campaign is to fund an entire Gravity Water system, bringing an on-site, permanent, and energy-free source of safe drinking water to a school in need.

La Mesa Junior High School'sClean Water Campaign
To help spread awareness about the Global Water Crisis and fundraise to build a clean water system at Sàng Ma Sáo Primary School in Vietnam, La Mesa Junior High School is hosting a clean water carnival. The clean water campaign is centered on a community-based model, where students will be hosting a fun event with the goal of bringing clean water to a community in need.

OUR SISTER SCHOOL: Sàng Ma Sáo Primary School

Students at La Mesa Junior High School decided to choose Sàng Ma Sáo Primary School, located in Bát Xát, Vietnam, as their benefiting sister school.
Currently, Sàng Ma Sáo Primary School lacks access to a reliable on-site source of water. The school currently relies on boiling the water for drinking, however cannot produce enough boiled water for all students to drink and the available spring water is largely contaminated and unsafe for human consumption. Gravity Water and La Mesa Junior High School are working together to bring a Gravity Water system to the school, which will provide them with a free, reliable, and daily source of safe water that is on-site and meets U.S. EPA-rated standards. Every $8 donated provides one child with safe drinking water.
