Morro Bay High School's Clean Water Impact To Date
2021 Clean Water Campaign
Morro Bay High School’s 2021 Campaign brought clean drinking water to Shree Prabha Secondary School, a school located in Kavrepalanchowk, Nepal. Without access to clean water, Shree Prabha Secondary School was dependent on unfiltered rainwater or shipping water for students from outside resources. Often the school could not afford to purchase enough bottled water for all 850 students. Through support from the 2021 Morro Bay High School fundraiser Campaign, Gravity Water worked with Shree Prabha Secondary School and the Kavrepalanchowk Community to install a rainwater harvesting system, which is providing the entire school of 850 students with a daily source of safe drinking water. |

Morro Bay High School's
Raffle4Water Campaign
To help spread awareness about the Global Water Crisis and fundraise to build a clean water system at Shree Dulaleshwor Secondary School in Nepal, Morro Bay High School is hosting a "Raffle4Water" campaign. The Raffle4Water campaign is centered on a community-based model, where students work with local businesses and artisans to raffle off donated goods with the goal of bringing clean water to a community in need.
HOW TO ENTER THE RAFFLE
Every $8 donated provides a child with access to safe drinking water and equals one entry into the raffle.

OUR SISTER SCHOOL: Shree Dulaleshwor Secondary School
Kavrepalanchowk, Nepal
Kavrepalanchowk, Nepal
Students at Morro Bay High School decided to choose Shree Dulaleshwor Secondary School, located in Kavrepalanchowk, Nepal, as their benefiting sister school.
Currently, Shree Dulaleshwor Secondary School lacks access to a reliable on-site source of water. The school currently relies on a local contaminated river and spring water and don’t have a safe drinking water source on-site. The river and spring water is never filtered and comes from areas that have agriculture and wild animals; therefore, parasites and bacteria are commonly found in the water, posing a risk to the students. Without access to a safe and reliable source of water for both hand-washing and drinking, students at this school are at great risk of contracting and spreading illness, especially COVID-19. Gravity Water and Morro Bay High School are working together to bring a 5,000 liter Gravity Water system to the school, which will provide them with a free, reliable, and daily source of safe drinking water that is on-site and meets U.S. EPA-rated standards. Every $8 donated provides one child with safe drinking water.
