Position Overview

Gravity Water is a US-based 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization focusing on turning rain into safe water for schools in need. Gravity Water is hiring for a Director of Operations, Vietnam to join Gravity Water’s Leadership Team in Vietnam as the primary individual responsible for overseeing the Organization’s programs within the country. The Director of Operations reports to the National Director of Vietnam and the Director of Operations, Asia. The candidate will be part of a supportive and professional team of passionate individuals dedicated to building water security and climate resilience for communities in need throughout the country.

 

The primary activities related to this position include (1) the direct management and oversight of Gravity Water’s program services in Vietnam; (2) assisting the National Director of Vietnam and Director of Operations, Asia in developing long-term program growth strategies; and (3) guiding regional team members in achieving KPIs for initiatives within the country.

Responsibilities

Essential job responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to: 

• Manage and oversee Gravity Water’s Operations Team and initiatives throughout Vietnam

• Assist in long-term strategic planning and growth of Gravity Water Vietnam’s operations

• Ensure national compliance with all applicable standards, MEL, reporting 

• Assist in strategic  partnership development and management

Requirements 

​

Required Qualifications:

​

• Reside in, or willing to relocate to, Hanoi, Vietnam

• Passion for building water security and climate resilience for communities in need

• 5+ years experience in a D-Level or leadership position

• 2+ years working in an INGO, NGO, or Social Enterprise

• Fluency in English

Desired Qualifications:

​

• WASH Program Management

• Experience in strategic and public-private partnership development

• Grant writing, proposal writing, financial modeling

• Extensive experience working in the international development or social enterprise sector
