How Gravity Water Aligns with UN's Sustainable Development Goals

Gravity Water supports four key UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) through our projects and programs, bringing safe drinking and washing water to communities in need.

SDG #6 Clean Water and Sanitation

Gravity Water's projects:

  • Provide universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water.

  • Improve water-use efficiency through water harvesting and treatment technologies.

  • Expand international cooperation and capacity-building support for local communities to improve water and sanitation management.

Our Team

SDG #13 Climate Action

Gravity Water integrates climate change measures into national policies, strategies, and planning. Our clean water systems promote mechanisms for raising capacity for effective climate change-related planning and management in least-developed countries focusing on women, youth, and local and marginalized communities. Our youth programs are designed to improve education and awareness of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Our Impact

SDG #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities

Gravity Water's projects are built in areas most impacted by water-related disasters, protecting people experiencing poverty and people in vulnerable situations. We provide sustainable solutions that empower local communities to adopt and implement integrated rainwater harvesting technology, helping them adapt to climate change and mitigate the impact of water scarcity. Our projects employ local workers and utilize local materials.

SDG #17 Partnerships for the Goals

Gravity Water works with government agencies, businesses, and organizations to enhance the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development. Together we encourage and promote effective public, public-private, and civil society partnerships. Building on the experience and resourcing strategies of all our collaborative partners, particularly in developing countries, we are able to strengthen and expand our efforts and provide more communities with safe and affordable water solutions.
