International Projects Management Internship

Position Overview

​

The International Project Management internship focuses on developing actionable proposals to expand rainwater harvesting and safe drinking water access throughout Asia using Gravity Water’s innovative technology. The position will work closely with Gravity Water’s Executive Director and Director of Growth and Development.

​

Gravity Water is seeking a highly motivated and qualified intern to support the growth and expansion of our organization and to further our mission and work to support safe water access to at-risk communities around the world.

​

Responsibilities

​​

  • Data Collection Analysis (4-6 hrs per week)

    • Researching and analyzing data related to rainfall, water use, and community demographics, primarily in SE Asia.

  • Backend Data Management and Organization (2-3 hrs per week)

    • Maintaining up-to-date internal database accuracy and assisting in operating Gravity Water’s data management tools.

  • Strategic Planning and Proposal Development (2-3 hrs per week)

    • Building government and municipality data-driven proposals for international expansion projects.

    • Assisting in the creation of financial models and multi-year budgets. 

  • General Tasks (2-3 hrs per week)

    • Meeting weekly with immediate supervisor to support collaboration and task management

    • Maintaining time and task tracking tools to monitor progress

 

Estimated Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week. Potential opportunity for international travel to Asia.

Requirements 

​

Required Qualifications:

​

  • Actively pursuing a Graduate Degree in environmental science, international development, program management, or a related field 

  • Passion for facilitating clean water access for global communities

  • Some experience and interest in project management, data analytics, non-profit management, proposal development, and strategic financial planning

  • Experience in research methodology and statistical analysis

  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

  • Familiar with G-Suite (Documents, Spreadsheets, Slide Presentations)

Desired Qualifications:

​

  • Completed courses or experience in GIS, advanced statistics, grant writing, water sciences

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations in both development and strategy.

​
