Position Overview
The University Program Chapter President’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the three coordinators responsible for operating the Gravity Water Chapter Club by delegating tasks related to fundraising and community engagement. This position is part of the University Program and will report directly to the Program Manager.
Gravity Water is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated intern to support the growth of our organization and ensure effective communication between the Gravity Water management team and local college students to raise awareness of the world water crisis.

Chapter President Roles and Responsibilities

Executive Team Management (~3 hours per week)
-
Organizing weekly in-person club meetings
-
Hosting individual meetings with each coordinator once or more every other week
-
Developing quarterly target outcomes for Club in collaboration with coordinators
-
Overseeing the application and hiring process for the three other executive positions

Responsible for the on-site storage unit containing all tabling materials
-
Reporting Club financials and budget

Club Participation (~2 hours per week)

Ensuring team members deliver successful events, partnerships, campaigns, and two or more tabling sessions per quarter

Coordinating annual team-building events for club members once every quarter

Fulfilling duties as the Club President as defined by club registration requirements

Estimated Time Commitment: 5 hours per week

Requirements for Chapter President
Required Qualifications:
-
Passion for facilitating clean water access for global communities
-
Enrollment in a higher education program at UCSB or CalPoly
-
Some experience and interest in committees, non-profit management, leadership, and strategic planning
-
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
-
Familiar with G-Suite (Documents, Spreadsheets, Slide Presentations)

Experience and interest in leading a club chapter
-
Leadership experience with ASB, Interact Club, or related programs
-
Experience in charitable fundraising endeavors
-
Interest in pursuing a career in non-profit team leadership
