Happy Hearts in Indonesia!

In May, the collaboration between Gravity Water and Happy Hearts Indonesia (HHI) continued to make strong progress in West Java. Following the successful completion of site assessments at 19 schools in April, the first 10 schools have now been selected to receive Cloudwell’s RainBox technology. Selection was based on a combination of factors, including each school’s water access needs, potential for volumetric water offset (VWO), and logistical accessibility.

An important insight emerging from the site assessments is the high daily water consumption at many schools, primarily due to the water required for regular prayer activities, highlighting another critical way in which rainwater harvesting can help offset reliance on groundwater and support sustainable water use on campus.

Throughout May, the Cloudwell team focused on sourcing materials and preparing for installations. The goal is to begin installing the first RainBox systems by the end of June, bringing the initiative into its next phase of direct impact. Schools remain highly engaged and eager to see the systems deployed, viewing this as both a timely water security solution and an opportunity to strengthen their long-term climate resilience.

Clean water access project in Kelantan
Clean Water System Complete!

Kelantan Initiative Projects Completed Ahead of Schedule

May marked a major milestone for Gravity Water’s rainwater harvesting initiative in Kelantan: all 50 rainwater harvesting systems have now been successfully installed—one month ahead of schedule! These systems are now providing climate-resilient water access to 30,040 students and teachers across the region. To date, the systems have harvested over 2,174,000 liters of rainwater, with 246,000 liters captured in May alone.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of Gravity Water’s in-country partner, Water Watch Penang, and the committed installation teams on the ground. It has been particularly rewarding to see the positive impact of the rainwater harvesting systems—schools that once struggled to secure daily water supplies now have a reliable source of rainwater to meet their needs.

While installations are now complete, the work is far from over. The initiative is now entering its next phase: developing long-term maintenance plans and ensuring that schools are fully equipped to manage and sustain their rainwater harvesting systems for years to come.

Exciting Milestone: Cloudwell RainBox Installations Begin in Johor

We’re thrilled to announce that Cloudwell is now officially incorporated in Johor! This key milestone paves the way for the rollout of Cloudwell’s latest RainBox technology as part of the Johor school initiative.

With incorporation finalized and shipping now in motion, installations are on track to begin in June. Thanks to the incredible groundwork by our local team, schools are fully prepped to receive the new systems. Designed for seamless, plug-and-play integration with their existing infrastructure, the RainBox will allow schools to quickly connect to clean, sustainable water access with minimal disruption. Using rain to power water resilience.

As we enter this exciting next phase, we’re eager to witness the RainBox’s impact, enhancing water access, strengthening climate resilience, and promoting sustainable water management in Johor’s school communities.
